Sandy Saints Basketball Club is proud to be one of 13 domestic clubs affiliated with the Southern Basketball Association (SBA),  the governing body for basketball in the Sandringham region. The SBA oversees basketball competitions and programs in the Sandringham area, providing governance and support to its affiliated clubs. As part of this affiliation, Sandy Saints aligns with the SBA’s regulations and guidelines, which are structured into the following categories:

By-Laws

These operational rules govern the conduct of competitions and the behavior of participants. Key by-laws include: Competition By-Laws: Rules outlining game operations, player eligibility, and competition structures.

Integrity By-Laws: Guidelines ensuring ethical behaviour and integrity within the sport.

Member Protection By-Laws: Policies safeguarding members against discrimination, harassment, and abuse.

Drugs in Basketball By-Laws: Regulations addressing the use of prohibited substances.

Tribunal By-Laws: Procedures for handling disputes and disciplinary matters.

Codes of Conduct

To promote respect and sportsmanship, the SBA has established codes of conduct for various roles: Players, Coaches, Officials, Parents, Spectators.
