At Sandy Saints, we are committed to providing a respectful and supportive environment for all players, parents, and officials. If you have a concern or feel unhappy about the behaviour of another participant, we ask that you raise it appropriately through the correct channels. Please do not approach opposition players, parents, or officials directly. Instead, speak with your Team Manager after the game, who can either address the matter with the opposition Team Manager or escalate it to the Club President. We take all complaints seriously and aim to resolve issues respectfully, fairly, and in line with our Club values.
Complaints
Complaints & Grievances
If you have concerns about the behaviour of a participant, parent, or official, please speak with your Team Manager after the game. Do not approach opposition players, parents, or officials directly. The Team Manager may raise the issue with their counterpart or escalate it to the Club President at president@sandysaints.com.au.
The Club President will contact the complainant to discuss next steps. If necessary, the matter may be referred to the opposing club for resolution.
If you are dissatisfied with an outcome or decision, you may submit a formal complaint using the Complaints Form on our website. The President will review and respond accordingly.
Fair Play Policy
Sandy Saints is committed to fairness, respect, and player development. We aim to place each player in a team where they can contribute and grow, both at training and on game day.
While playing time is at the coach’s discretion, every player should expect fair court time over the season—provided they attend training, display a positive attitude, and give their best effort. Fair play does not mean equal play, as coaches must also consider:
Team balance for offence and defence
Player understanding of team systems
Matchups based on size, speed, and tactics
Unequal court time may result from missed training, injuries, poor attitude, disrespect, or inappropriate behaviour.
Players are encouraged to speak with their coach one-on-one if they have concerns about court time. If unresolved, parents or players should first speak with the Coach or Team Manager, and if needed, escalate the issue to the Committee.
